Book Review: Taxes & TARDIS by N.R. Walker

Brent, an electrician, takes his chaotic collection of receipts and financial records from his business to his new accountant after his original account is unable to handle the task due to other commitments. Expecting to see an old man sitting behind the desk, Brent is pleasantly surprised when he sees Logan, a man of the same age who is quiet, geeky, British and is wearing the prettiest blue shirt, which Logan explains is TARDIS (Time and Relative Dimension in Space from Doctor Who) blue.

Although complete opposites, the two men eventually forge a friendship that turns into a relationship as they get to know one another and find they really enjoy each other's company.

This story is so sweet. Brent and Logan are adorable and I liked the way N.R. Walker showed the aggressive side of Logan (even though he's normally quite shy and quiet) and the vulnerable side of Brent (who is often very outgoing). The characters were so likable that I really rooted for them and hoped they'd find their happily ever after.

Brent's friend Tim not only provided comic relief and silliness to the story, but also provided clarity and guidance for the couple. He really surprised me...in a good way.

If you're in the mood for a wonderfully sweet story that will warm your heart, Taxes & TARDIS is the one for you!
